FS100A consists of an RF transmitter and receiver pair which operates on the frequency of 433 MHz. The receiver module requires 5V DC whereas the transmitter module can operate on 3V to 12V DC. Both the transmitter and receiver module requires separate microcontroller boards. The receiver module consists of 5 pins it. Vcc is connected to the 3V-12V power supply and Gnd is connected to the ground of the circuit. To improve the range of the receiver wire/antenna can be soldered to the antenna port of the module. There are two data pins out of which either can be used to obtain data received by the module. There are four pins in the transmitter module i.e., Vcc, Data, Gnd and antenna. Vcc is connected to a 5V power supply and Gnd is connected to the ground. Data that has to be transmitted using the module is sent to the Data pin. At the antenna port, we can solder wire/antenna to increase the range of the transmitter. FS100A RF pair can be used in home automation, security systems, short-distance communication, etc.
