The NRF24L01 transceiver module transmits data using GFSK modulation and operates in the 2.4 GHz worldwide ISM frequency band. The data transfer rate can be one of 250kbps, 1Mbps, and 2Mbps. These modules are so small, you can use them to add a wireless interface to practically any project. The module's operational voltage ranges from 1.9 to 3.6V, but the good news is that the logic pins are 5-volt tolerant, allowing us to connect it directly to an Arduino or any other 5V logic microcontroller without the need for a logic level converter. An SMA connector and a duck-antenna are included.
The special RFX2401C chip integrates the PA(Power amplifier), LNA(Loe-Noise amplifier), and transmit-receive switching circuitry. This range extender chip, in combination with a duck antenna, allows the module to attain a transmission range of around 1000 meters. The nRF24L01 can be easily paired with a variety of microcontroller systems; MCU/ARM/PIC/AVR/STM32 by using the SPI protocol or an RF24 library when pairing with Arduino.
