Passive Bass Radiator are nothing but a Speaker Rubber Diaphragm Vibration Plate. The air pressure generated by the smaller powered speaker inside a modern sound system powers a passive radiator. They employ a subtle and deceptive technique to do a large amount of work with very little energy.
They work by completely sealing the speaker unit, forcing all (or almost all) of the vibration generated by the active speakers to pass through the fragile diaphragm within the passive speaker. The effect of a large, powerful woofer is adequately simulated because the air pressure inside the speaker cannot escape in any direction other than through the passive speakers.
