S8550 is a low voltage and high current transistor. It is a general-purpose PNP transistor designed for audio amplification and class B push-pull application. The collector current Ic is a function of the base current Ib for a given collector-emitter voltage VCE, and a change in the base current gives a corresponding amplified change in the collector current for a given collector-emitter voltage VCE.
