TLP626 is a transistor output optocoupler. It is specifically a low input transistor with AC input. This optocoupler is widely used in operations involving the isolation of high-speed signals from noise-sensitive circuits. Its common applications include a communication interface, power supply, and AC voltage detection.
TLP626 photocouplers, like most TOSHIBA optocouplers, are made composed of a high-intensity infrared light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to a photodetector constructed utilizing the most recent method. The LED-photodetector couple is enclosed in an electrically insulated raisin which is almost transparent in nature. TLP626 is a very small and light package hence is easy to handle and mount on almost any printed circuit board.
